NOTICE OF VACANCY FOR PARISH COUNCILLOR

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act that a by-election has not been requested in respect of the casual vacancy on Hooe Parish Council following the resignation of Stephen Crawhurst. Hooe Parish Council can fill the casual vacancy by co-option.

Applications are welcome from any person who meets at least one of the following criteria:

• During the whole 12 months of the proceeding 12 months occupied as an owner or tenant, any land or premises in the parish
• Is registered as an elector for the parish
• During the whole twelve months their principle or only place of work has been the parish
• During the whole 12 months they have resided in the parish or within three miles of it
• Applicants must also be 18 years or older on the day of co-option.
